My family and I moved to Lakeside from Chino in February 2009. We have tried a number of churches in the area in hopes to find a new home church. We came from a very active and large congregation at Calvary Chapel Chino Valley and enjoyed excellent teaching from Pastor David Rosales.

Having been unable to find a place where my wife, kids, and I were comfortable, I simply conducted a Google search on my computer… “Christian church, Lakeside, CA”… and up popped Lakeside Christian Church. I read the information on the web site and told my wife I had found a church we could try out!

I pulled into the parking lot at LCC and my initial thought was, “Wow this place is small.” Having been raised in a small church, I had no reservations about walking in. After all, church is not about numbers, it’s about relationships!

It’s been said you only have one chance to make a first impression. What a tremendous first impression! My family and I felt welcome from moment one. It was Father’s Day and the pre-sermon time was spent having fun with the dads in the room! I can’t remember when I’ve laughed so hard… particularly with a bunch of people I didn’t even know.

One thing was clear to me… God is present at LCC. The laughter I shared in my hour or two there and the quality of the message was unmistakable. We will continue attending LCC and are anxious to hear the next message!

Thank you for this post, we are moving to Lakeside next month and am looking for a home church for my family. I will definitly be checking LCC!
